Usually, the best cards in the game are the Secret Rare ones since they have the best transformations, including the likes of Ultra Instinct Goku. However, finding them is quite hard. If you are wondering what cards you should collect to strengthen your deck, here are some of the best cards in the Dragon Ball Super Trading Card Game.

Arcane Absorption Majin Buu

Arcane Absorption Majin Buu is a Super Rare Card with Triple Strike and is quite powerful. This card is a Special card, and to play it, you need to place the Evil Wizard Babidi card in the Drop Area and place this card on top of it. If there is an Evil Wizard Babidi card under this card, you can choose five cards from the Drop Area and play them.

  • Type: Battle
  • Color: Black
  • Power: 40,000
  • Energy Color Cost: 8
  • Combo Energy: 1
  • Combo Power: 10,000

This card is available in the Series 6, Destroyer Kings Booster Pack.

Beerus Ball

If you are looking for an effective Extra Card amidst all the Battle Cards, then Beerus Ball is quite a good card to have, especially if you have a red Leader card. If your Leader Card is red, your life is at 4 or less, and the Battle Card being played is at 15,000 power or less, you can place it in the owner’s Drop Area. If it’s the opponent’s turn, you can choose one of your Leader Cards and it will get +5,000 power for the turn.

  • Type: Extra
  • Color: Red
  • Energy color cost: 1 (one red)

This card is available in Series 8, Malicious Machinations Booster Pack.

Broly, Ultimate Agent of Destruction

The legendary Super Saiyan is one of the strongest characters in the series, and he manages to be so here as well. With an impressive power level of 40,000, this super rare card has both Double Strike and Dual Attack. If you use this card when your life is at 1, the opponent has to place all their cards in the Drop Area. When one of your cards with an energy cost of seven or more is removed from the Battle Area, you may choose all cards except this in your hand and place them in the Drop Area. After you have done that, you can simply play this card.

This card is available in Series 6, Destroyer Kings Booster Pack.

  • Type: Battle
  • Color: Green
  • Power: 40,000
  • Energy Color Cost: 8
  • Combo Energy: 1
  • Combo Power: 10,000

Finishing Spirit Bomb Son Goku

The Spirit Bomb has been one of the most legendary attacks in the history of the series, and we have seen it quite a few times against some formidable enemies. This card is based on Goku’s Spirit Bomb during the Android 13 saga. While using the Spirit Bomb, Goku ends up absorbing it and attaining the Super Saiyan form. This card has Double Strike, and you can also combo with 3 Battle cards in the Drop Area, provided they are green in color.

The card is available in Series 3, Cross Worlds Booster Pack.

  • Type: Battle
  • Color: Green
  • Power: 25,000
  • Energy Color Cost: 6 (two green)
  • Combo Energy: 1
  • Combo Power: 10,000

Frieza (Bionic Strike Mecha Frieza)

No deck is complete with a good Leader card and Frieza (Bionic Strike Mecha Frieza) is undoubtedly the best Leader card whether you are a fan of the character or not. In fact, the card underwent a few errata changes to balance it. When your life is at 4 or less you may draw 2 cards and flip this card over, making it the Bionic Strike Mecha Frieza with a power level of 15000. This card helps you in reducing the cost of an Extra card by 1 if you add a card from your life to your hand.

  • Type: Leader
  • Color: Yellow
  • Power: 10,000/15,000

Gogeta, Hero Revived

If you are (somehow) not a fan of Vegito and prefer the other fusion attained via the Fusion Dance — that is, Gogeta — then this card is a must-have. Gogeta, Hero Revived is a Special Rare card with a commendable power level of 30,000 and is based on the Janemba Saga. While playing this card, if you have 5 or more energy, you can choose one card from your life and place it in the Drop Area. The opponent will then have to shuffle all the cards and then draw three cards.

This card is available in the Series 5, Miraculous Revival Booster Pack.

  • Type: Battle
  • Color: Blue
  • Power: 30,000
  • Energy Color Cost: 7 (four blue)
  • Combo Energy: 1
  • Combo Power: 10,000

Power of Potara – Vegito, Kefla and Zamasu

While we didn’t see a fusion between Goku and Vegeta in the Tournament of Power, we saw glimpses of their strength after the Potara fusion during the battle with Zamasu. The Power of Potara card is based on multiple characters who have used the Potara earrings, including Vegito, Kefla, and Zamasu. The card is really useful when your opponent has six or more energy or six or more cards in Rest Mode since you can reduce the energy cost of this card by 3 in such a situation.

The card is available in Series 7, Assault of the Saiyans Booster Pack.

  • Type: Battle
  • Color: Blue/Yellow
  • Power: 40,000
  • Energy Color Cost: 8 (three blue, two yellow)
  • Combo Energy: 1
  • Combo Power: 10,000

Son Goku, Hope of Universe 7

A Super Rare card, Son Goku, Hope of Universe 7 is one of the best cards out there. Based on Goku’s imperfect Ultra Instinct which he attains after absorbing the Spirit Bomb, the card has some useful perks such as Triple Attack. If your Leader card is Green, you can choose one of your opponent’s cards and they have to place it in the Drop Area.

The card is available in Themed Booster Pack, Tournament of Power.

  • Type: Battle
  • Color: Green
  • Power: 35,000
  • Energy Color Cost: 8 (three green)
  • Combo Energy: 1
  • Combo Power: 10,000

Son Goku, The Awakened Power

Unsurprisingly, Goku’s Ultra Instinct form leads the list in the best cards of the game. Goku attained this form for the first time while fighting Jiren in the Tournament of Power, and went on to master it later on in the tournament while defeating some commendable opponents like Kefla along the way. The card has a really powerful ultimate that leads the player to winning the game if they deal life damage while attacking with this card.

The card is available in Themed Booster Pack, Tournament of Power.

  • Type: Battle
  • Color: Green
  • Power: 45,000
  • Energy Color Cost: 8 (four green)
  • Combo Energy: 1
  • Combo Power: 10,000

Twisted Justice, Fused Zamasu

The Zamasu arc has been termed as one of the best and most action-packed in the entire Dragon Ball Super series. Zamasu in its fused form has been one of the most formidable enemies, and just like the character in the anime, this card is quite powerful too. To use the card, simply place the Goku Black and Zamasu cards on top of each other and this card on top of it in Active Mode. After playing this card, you can choose your opponent’s two Battle cards or two in-hand cards and the opponent will be forced to place those cards in the Drop Area.

The card is available in Series 3, Cross Worlds Booster Pack.

  • Type: Battle
  • Color: Green
  • Power: 25,000
  • Energy Color Cost: 7 (three green)
  • Combo Energy: 1
  • Combo Power: 10,000

Ultimate Evil Dark Prince Vegeta

If you are having a hard time finding Secret Rare cards, you can try finding Rare cards as well which are easier to obtain. One of the best Rare cards is Ultimate Evil Dark Prince Vegeta. It is based on Vegeta’s Majin form, which made its debut in the anime back in The Evil Wizard Babidi Saga. This card has a double strike, which means that it deals twice the damage.

The card is available in Series 2, Union Force Booster Pack.

  • Type: Battle
  • Color: Red
  • Power: 25,000
  • Energy Color Cost: 4 (two red)
  • Combo Energy: 1
