Cats are now available in Sea of Thieves. You can take your furry companion with you alongside your crew as your sail the seas, plundering loot, engaging in incredible battles against skeleton crews, or have them join you as solve the mysteries hidden throughout the various islands. These companions are with you until the end.
How to get cats
For those looking to add a cat to your crew, you can pick them up from the Pirate Emporium. The in-game shop is available on the main menu screen before you jump into an adventure when you’re choosing your experience. Click on the Pirate Emporium, and then click on the pets tab. All of the cat pets are available for you to purchase, but they cost ancient coins, which is the Sea of Thieves premium currency. You can pick up ancient coins by doing exclusive in-game activities, or by buying it using real-world money.
You can pick to choose an individual cat to buy, or you can go with the cat bundle, which includes the Cavalier Wildcat, Ivory Mau, Bandit Ragamuffin, and a Sovereign outfit for each cat. You can purchase this bundle for a limited time for 1,249 ancient coins.
All Cat options
There are three types of cats you can purchase that have a different appearance. There are the Wildcats, Maus, and the Ragamuffins. Each of them has an array of different named cats with unique colors you can choose from.
Wildcats
There are five different Wildcat colors to choose from, each worth 499 ancient coins to purchase. Their names are in order from left to right.

Maus
There are five different Maus colors to choose from, each worth 499 ancient coins to purchase. Their names are in order from left to right.

There are five different Ragamuffins colors to choose from, each worth 499 ancient coins to purchase. Their names are in order from left to right.

For Pirate Legends in Sea of Thieves, there are available outfits the cats can wear. You need to be a Pirate Legend to receive access to them. There are only three types of cats right now, with five different colors, but this could expand in the future. You can pick up, cuddle, pet, play with, and watch your cat roam around your ship as you sail the harsh seas.
