Nintendo Switch “Not Considering Successor Or Price Cut”

In an interview with the Japanese publication The Sankei News, Nintendo president Shintaru Furukawa has debunked rumors of a “successor” or a “price cut” inbound for Nintendo Switch.

Recent rumors have claimed that the platform holder would be considering a launch of a slimmer and cheaper Switch in 2019.

Anyway, at least according to Furukawa, this is not the case, as Nintendo still plans to reach 20 million units sold by the end of the fiscal year in March.

“It is an extremely ambitious, but worthwhile achievement. So, we will maintain this goal,” he told the website.

“Nintendo Switch is our primary sales objective, and we are not considering a successor or a price cut at this time.”

So you can grab your Switch as soon as you desire, without fearing about the possible release of a newer model anytime soon.

At least, Nintendo says so.
